Which sucks because they attack people in their corner when they woosh on stories that parody and very much make fun of people who think it's ok to be problematic. If people can't make the distinction then they don't really care about the issue presented and focus solely on gaining points in the identity politics arena. To a degree I understand why people would never want blackface or any other offensive trope to make its way on screen, but at what cost? When it's done well it serves as an ally to those who condemn it. The character of Alpa Cino had a problem with him the entire time and called him out a lot. RDJ played an Australian who was so stupidly into his craft that he convinced himself he was a black man. The people complaining or upset about these characters hyperfocus on the problematic devices used to enhance the bufoonery or idiocy of the characters don't care about context or the underlying point. I get where you're coming from but that example only furthers my point.
